One Click Ventures Walks for Wishes

One Click Ventures Walk for Wishes

On July 16, One Click Ventures participated in the 6th annual Indianapolis Walk for Wishes.

The three-mile walk took place at Fort Harrison State Park to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This year’s Honorary Wish Child was Garrett, an eight-year-old who has an enzyme disorder. Donations raised will help Garrett and the other Wish Kids get their wishes granted.

OCV team members each worked to raise money by asking friends and family to donate to the cause. In addition, on July 14, One Click donated 10 percent of sales to the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Besides monetary donations, OCV gave 80 pairs of children’s sunglasses. The fun, novelty Sunglass Warehouse shades were bright and colorful and helped designate the Wish Kids. “It was rewarding seeing all the Wish Kids wearing our sunglasses. They loved them! Watching them show off their new glasses definitely made me happy,” says Organic Search Team member, Maggie Thistleton.

Twenty OCV team members walked  in the heat on Saturday. “I was really impressed with the level of participation from One Click staffers during our recent Walk for Wishes,” says co-founder and COO, Angie Stocklin. OCV walked in style with each teammate wearing a pair of lime green wayfarers from Sunglass Warehouse. Walk for Wishes volunteers referred to team One Click as the “team with the crazy sunglasses.”
