One Click Gets Green, One Initiative at a Time

From an early age, One Click has been a purveyor of getting green. And, this time, I don’t mean sales conversions.

Co-founder Angie’s knack for environmental conservation has permeated through all corners of the office, literally. “I have always felt a strong desire to help protect our natural resources and preserve the earth for future generations. My hope is that One Click’s carbon footprint continues to shrink as our company grows,” she says.

Highlighted below are a few of One Click’s environment-focused initiatives. Are you implementing any of these in your workplace?

Around the Office

  • We use recycled toilet tissue and paper towels.
  • One Click offers reusable mugs to employees and guests.
  • We aim to turn off lights in rooms not in use.
  • We utilize 100% recycled paper for invoices and all office printing needs.
  • We recently switched to an osmosis system to eliminate bottled water.
  • Employees are encouraged to plan and coordinate projects electronically to reduce paper usage.
  • One Click utilizes green cleaning products and hand soap.

Reuse, Reduce, Recycle

  • We reuse packing materials, like peanuts, sent to us in venders’ packaging.
  • Recycling bins are placed throughout the office.
  • We recycle used packaging materials, batteries, and all print and toner cartridges.

Down the Road

  • A Goodwill collection drive is to take place this summer, in which all employees will be encouraged to bring in their unused clothes and house wares for a big collective drop-off.
  • A longer-term goal will be to pay a little extra to get “green” energy from our electric company, a bigger overhaul.
