Here at One Click, we take immense pride in our company culture: it guides us through our daily tasks, sets the tone for our expectations and aspirations, and shows in our enthusiasm for our work and each other. Our team members show a certain passion and positivity for this small-but-mighty ecommerce company that’s hard to ignore. It’s this distinctive culture that landed us on the year’s coveted list of Best Places to Work in Indiana for the very first time. On Thursday, May 3, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce announced One Click Ventures as 26th in the small and medium-sized company category. The small and medium-sized category consisted of those companies with between 15 and 249 U.S. employees, while the large-sized category consisted of companies that have 250 or more employees nationally. Out-of-state companies were taken into consideration as long as at least 15 full-time employees were in

Part of the organic team's job is to create awesome content that encourages our visitors to share, revisit, and interact with our sites. Sometimes it's an infographic on hat history, sometimes it's a blog post with 10 tips on getting up and out the door in 10 minutes, but whatever the medium, we're always looking for new ways to connect with our audience. If you've seen any of our how to tie a scarf content, you also know that we've been dabbling in video for awhile now. Last week we hit a pretty big milestone in our video career...drumroll, please! This is my attempt at drawing confetti.  ONE MILLION YOUTUBE VIEWS!! (Okay, yes, that picture

OCV Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day

Last Friday, the OCV office went green for our first-ever St. Patrick’s Day pitch-in. Filled with pre-potluck excitement (or perhaps they were just afraid of being pinched!), the team arrived in their finest green garb. At noon, the team took a break from the busy day to gather in the upstairs loft for good company and great food. Many One Clickers accepted the St. Patty’s challenge and got creative with their contributions. Guacamole, salad, and mint brownies brought a little green to the spread. Angie’s Irish-flag-inspired veggie tray had us singing Amhrán na bhFiann. Steve, Maggie T., and Julie stayed true to the Irish holiday, bringing corn beef and cabbage, potato soup, and Reuben roll-ups to share. And as is customary at any One Click function, there was such an abundance of

Many of you know by now that the One Click Ventures team works hard, but always finds time to have a little fun. After all, it is at the very core of our culture. Last week, OCV had a seriously stylish soiree to celebrate two brand launches. On Wednesday, February 22, the One Click team spent the afternoon mingling, munching on mini appetizers, and sipping mocktails to celebrate the relaunch of The Fedora Store, as well as the switch from Affordable Scarves to Scarves Dot Net. A true collaborative team effort made both of these redesigns and relaunches possible. Successful launches are definitely something to celebrate! After months

Located just a few miles from downtown Indianapolis, the One Click team could not be more excited to have Super Bowl XLVI right in our backyard. With a hometown advantage, the OCV organic team created the Insider's Guide to Super Bowl XLVI, which shares details on events surrounding the big game. The organic team also compiled a list of favorite Indianapolis restaurants and nightlife spots to help football fans who visit the Super City. To get an insider's view on all the Super Bowl festivities, the organic team and I  took a field trip downtown one afternoon to take in the sights and to explore the Super Bowl Village for ourselves -- we snapped some photos, ate at a favorite restaurant, and explored the sights!

One Click Holiday Party (Recap)

At One Click, we know how to spread the holiday cheer into the New Year. On Friday, January 13th (yes, Friday the 13th), team members and their guests braved the blustery winter weather for a night of mingling, munchies, and a merry good time. Euphoria Events at Bugg’s Temple, located on the northwest side of downtown Indianapolis, hosted the One Click soiree, where gorgeous ornaments hung from the ceiling and twinkle lights provided the perfect backdrop for a fun-filled evening. To add to the holiday festivities, an array of games greeted everyone upon arrival. Team members sipped beverages, noshed on Buffalo Chicken and Artichoke dips, and guessed “What’s in the Stocking?” by feeling  its contents without taking a peek inside. Guests had the chance to “Find the Key to the North Pole” by tracking down 10 keys hidden (and they were really hidden)

The employees at One Click are no strangers to working hard, and consequently, play time can be equally as intense. With all the great things happening over the last few months, there have been plenty of reasons to celebrate and enjoy a little play time, like recently being listed on the Inc. 5000 and Indiana's Top 43 Companies to Watch lists. Celebrations are an important part of the culture of One Click, and usually involve an impressive spread of tasty goodies and lots of socializing. "We recognize it's just as important to celebrate the wins, and these events provide a great way for everyone at One Click, including the Operations, Marketing, Technology and Executive Management teams, to bond together in honor of the same achievement," said Mark Easterday, Director of Marketing. "It's a great opportunity

One Click Attends 2011 ‘Indiana Companies to Watch’ Gala

For four years, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation has brought together companies from across the state to celebrate significant growth and innovative business practices and products at the Indiana Companies to Watch Gala. One Click Ventures was honored to be named to this elite group of organizations for 2011. To celebrate, eight One Click team members traded their flip flops and south side locale for cocktail attire and a night at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in celebration of the company's and others' successes over the past several years.
