As summer nears an end and fall begins, the One Click team sadly had to say goodbye to the Summer Intern class of 2011. To commemorate their internship, One Click hosted a career workshop to provide them with some real world career advice, and a little personal advice too. The workshop began with some traditional and some not-so-orthodox advice. Topics included developing a 30-second elevator pitch, how to get creative with your resume and using social media to brand yourself. “We wanted to give them career advice tailored specifically toward our industry.” says Terra Kash-Hamilton, One Click’s Talent and Culture Manager. “It is common to hear ‘one page only’ or ‘no crazy fonts,’ but that is not necessarily good advice for someone looking for a creative position.” During the four-hour workshop, interns were advised to treat their LinkedIn profile with just as much respect as they do their resume, to never underestimate
