As the PR and Social Media intern for One Click Ventures this past summer, I not only enjoyed the position, the culture, and the company; I also received real business work experience that I don’t think I could have received anywhere else. Unlike many other internships that consist of pushing papers and making the coffee, One Click treats its’ interns like full time employees; giving them meaningful projects to help in the company growth. My supervisor and co-workers included me on their projects and listened to my ideas that I had to offer. I was given the freedom to solve problems on my own but was never more than a few steps away if I had a question.
The internship program is also well organized and beneficial professionally and personally. The program began with an orientation and ended with a reflection workshop to help us in our transition from being a college student to a full time employee. Weekly meetings were implemented among the interns to track progress and ensure positive experiences. My internship with One Click allowed me to achieve growth personally and professionally.
